Parenting Education Opportunities Offered through Love, Inc. & Family Smart Kid Friendly Partnership

“I am Your Child” is a video series developed in association with Zero to Three, a national nonprofit organization that promotes the healthy development of babies and toddlers. The videos and their discussion address critical parenting, early childhood and school readiness issues.

“Nurturing Parenting” is a self-instructional program that allows parents to learn the philosophy and skills of Nurturing Parenting. Some topics addressed in the program include: Developing family morals, values, and rules; improving children’s self-worth; handling anger and stress; discipline, rewards and punishment; and choices and consequences.

“1-2-3 Magic: Managing Difficult Behavior in Children 2-12” is a video program for parents and caregivers that offers easy-to-follow steps for disciplining children without arguing, yelling or spanking. The award winning program, developed by Dr. Thomas Phelan, includes techniques to help stop difficult behaviors such as whining, arguing, teasing, fighting, yelling, and tantrums.

“PARENTING WISELY” is an interactive video/computer program that addresses the unique needs of parents of younger children.
